چکیده

In image processing, a static texture is defined as an image showing spatial stationarity, while A dynamic texture is a sequence of images characterized by temporal as well as spatial stationary nature. Dynamic Texture synthesis is the process of producing artificial Dynamic textures starting from a given sample texture. Videos representing flames, water, smoke, etc. are often defined as dynamic textures: “textures” because they are characterized by redundant repetition of a pattern and “dynamic” because this repetition is also in time and not only in space. Recently, description of dynamic textures has attracted growing attention. In this paper, analysis of various models for synthesizing Dynamic textures with nonlinear motions are given. These methods are very useful to reconstruct dynamic texture sequences with promising visual quality and fewer coefficients. Compact representation for dynamic texture synthesis is well suited for devices, limited by memory and computational power, such as Video games or mobile phones & Embedded Devices. Keywords-Dynamic texture, Dynamic Texture, Linear, Nonlinear.

Non Linear Temporal Textures Synthesis: A Monte Carlo Approach

In this paper we consider the problem of temporal texture modeling and synthesis. A temporal texture (or dynamic texture) is seen as the output of a dynamical system driven by white noise. Experimental evidence shows that linear models such as those introduced in earlier work are sometimes inadequate to fully describe the time evolution of the dynamic scene. Extending upon recent work which is ...

Nonlinear Dynamic Texture Analysis and Synthesis Model

Dynamic textures are categorized into linear dynamic texture and Non-linear dynamic texture. Linear dynamic texture exhibits high temporal self-similarity. A lot of work has been performed to synthesize dynamic textures. Reproducing the visual realism of the real world is a major goal for computer graphics and image processing, and most of the real world dynamic textures are nonlinear in nature...

Dynamic Textures Synthesis as Nonlinear Manifold Learning and Traversing

We formulate the problem of dynamic texture synthesis as a nonlinear manifold learning and traversing problem. We characterize dynamic textures as the temporal changes in spectral parameters of image sequences. For continuous changes of such parameters, it is commonly assumed that all these parameters lie on or close to a low-dimensional manifold embedded in the original configuration space. Fo...

Corresponding dynamic appearances

Modelling the appearance of 3D objects undergoing large pose variation relies on recovering correspondence of both shape and texture across views. The problem is hard because changes in pose not only introduce self-occlusions hence inconsistent 2D features between views, but also cause non-linear variations in both the shape and texture of object appearance. In this paper, we present an approac...

Synthesizing and Mixing Stationary Gaussian Texture Models

This paper addresses the problem of modeling textures with Gaussian processes, focusing on color stationary textures that can be either static or dynamic. We detail two classes of Gaussian processes parameterized by a small number of compactly supported linear filters, the so-called textons. The first class extends the spot noise (SN) texture model to the dynamical setting, where the space-time...
